03 — How it works
Four steps from anchor to gold capture
Designed for two operators: one on the engine, one underwater. Setup to first slurry pass measured in minutes, not hours.
STAGE 01
Deploy & inflate
Two-row inflatable airbag float system assembles on a light square-tube frame. Two people get the dredge water-ready in under 15 minutes.
STAGE 02
Suction & jet
Honda 6.5 hp engine drives the DW 180 self-priming pump. Raised jet tee with dual nozzles maximises suction and clears stones that block weaker dredges.
STAGE 03
Underwater work
4-inch suction hose lowered to the gravel bed; the oil-free T80 compressor supplies air to the underwater operator at up to 6 m depth.
STAGE 04
Sluice recovery
Slurry rises into the 1.22 × 0.45 m sluice box. Rubber mats and gold-catching grass capture gold across the riffle bed while wash water drains back to the river.

Light square-tube frame, fast disassembly
The frame is square-tube aluminium, light enough for two people to break down and pack into a 1.85 × 0.7 × 0.6 m wooden crate. Travels in the bed of a pickup.
02 — POWER
Honda 6.5 hp clears larger rocks
The engine + DW 180 pump combination produces more siphon than typical 4-inch dredges. Larger stones pass without stalling — fewer mid-operation blockages.

Raised jet tee + 4 airbag floats
The jet tee rises on the frame to clear shoals and rapids. Two rows of inflatable airbags cut drag in fast flow and absorb wave flex.

The sluice box ships standard with rubber mats and gold-catching grass — the exact recovery surface used in our 100-ton cart and 150-ton vibrating systems, just at portable scale.
